अब्रवीद्रक्षसां मध्ये संस्तम्भयिषुराहवे ।
मया वर्षसहस्राणि चरित्वा दुश्चरं तपः ॥६-९३-२८॥
abravīdrakṣasāṃ madhye saṃstambhayiṣurāhave |
mayā varṣasahasrāṇi caritvā duścaraṃ tapaḥ ॥6-93-28॥

English Commentary
Ravana tries to rally his troops ('saṃstambhayiṣuḥ'). He falls back on his foundational source of power: his 'tapas' (penance). By recounting his arduous past achievements, he attempts to re-establish his authority and convince his terrified army that he is still invincible despite Indrajit's death.

अपनी सेना का मनोबल गिरता देख, रावण उन्हें 'संस्तम्भयिषुः' (स्थिर करने/ढांढस बंधाने की इच्छा से) अपने अतीत के पराक्रम सुनाता है। वह उन्हें याद दिलाता है कि उनका राजा सामान्य नहीं है, बल्कि महान तपस्वी है। यह आत्मविश्वास जगाने का प्रयास है, या शायद खुद को आश्वस्त करने का।
