व्रजन्तं राक्षसं प्रेक्ष्य सिंहनादं प्रचुक्रुशुः ।
ऊचुश्चान्योन्यमाश्लिष्य सङ्क्रुद्धं प्रेक्ष्य राक्षसाः ॥६-९३-४१॥
vrajantaṃ rākṣasaṃ prekṣya siṃhanādaṃ pracukruśuḥ |
ūcuścānyonyamāśliṣya saṅkruddhaṃ prekṣya rākṣasāḥ ॥6-93-41॥
Translation
Seeing that Rakshasa going, the others roared like lions. Seeing him enraged, the Rakshasas embraced each other and said:

English Commentary
A moment of dramatic irony. The soldiers misinterpret Ravana's rage-fueled sprint as a charge into battle against Shri Rama. They cheer ('siṃhanādaṃ') and embrace, thinking their king will finally avenge Indrajit. They are unaware of his ignoble target.
हिंदी टीका
राक्षस सेना को गलतफहमी हो गई है। उन्हें लगा रावण श्री राम से लड़ने जा रहा है, इसलिए वे 'सिंहनाद' (जयघोष) कर रहे हैं और खुश होकर गले मिल रहे हैं। यह स्थिति की विडंबना (Irony) है—सेना राजा की वीरता समझ रही है, जबकि राजा एक कायरतापूर्ण हत्या करने जा रहा है।
