धिगस्तु कुब्जामसतीं मन्थरां पापनिश्चयाम् ।
यन्निमित्तमिदं दुःखं कौसल्या प्रतिपत्स्यते ॥६-९३-५९॥
dhigastu kubjāmasatīṃ mantharāṃ pāpaniścayām |
yannimittamidam duḥkhaṃ kausalyā pratipatsyate ॥6-93-59॥
Translation
"Fie on that hunchback Manthara, unchaste/wicked and of sinful resolve, on whose account Kausalya will suffer this grief."
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस दुष्ट, पापी निश्चय वाली कुबड़ी मंथरा को धिक्कार है, जिसके कारण कौसल्या को यह दुःख प्राप्त होगा।
English Commentary
Sita traces the chain of causality back to Manthara. She curses ('dhigastu') the hunchback, holding her responsible for this entire calamity. It connects the current moment of death in Lanka back to the domestic politics of Ayodhya, closing the circle of fate.
हिंदी टीका
अंत में सीता इस सारे अनर्थ की जड़ मंथरा को मानती हैं। वे उसे 'असतीं' (दुष्ट) और 'पापनिश्चयाम्' कहती हैं। यह वनवास और युद्ध सब उसी के षड्यंत्र का परिणाम है। सीता का क्रोध रावण पर कम और मंथरा पर अधिक केंद्रित हो जाता है क्योंकि वही मूल कारण थी।
