केशान् कर्णललाटांश्च नासिकाश्च प्लवङ्गमाः ।
रक्षसां दशनैस्तीक्ष्णैर्नखैश्चापि न्यकर्तयन् ॥६-९४-१४॥
keśān karṇalalāṭāṃśca nāsikāśca plavaṅgamāḥ |
rakṣasāṃ daśanaistīkṣṇairnakhaiścāpi nyakartayan ॥6-94-14॥
Translation
The monkeys severed the hair, ears, foreheads, and noses of the Rakshasas using their sharp teeth and nails.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन प्लवंगमों (वानरों) ने अपने तीखे दाँतों और नाखूनों से राक्षसों के बाल, कान, माथे और नाकों को काट डाला।
English Commentary
The primal ferocity of the Vanaras is on full display. Without swords, they use their natural biological weapons—teeth and claws. Targeting the face (ears, nose, forehead) is particularly disorienting and painful for the enemy. It shows the raw, animalistic desperation of the fight for survival.

यह नज़दीकी लड़ाई (close combat) का उग्र रूप है। वानर अपने नख और दंत रूपी आयुधों का प्रयोग कर राक्षसों को कुरूप और घायल कर रहे थे। नाक और कान काटना अपमान और पराजय का प्रतीक भी माना जाता है। वानरों का क्रोध इतना तीव्र था कि वे शत्रुओं को नोच रहे थे।
