राक्षसैर्युद्ध्यामानानां वानराणां महाचमूः ।
शरण्यं शरणं याता रामं दशरथात्मजम् ॥६-९४-१७॥
rākṣasairyuddhyāmānānāṃ vānarāṇāṃ mahācamūḥ |
śaraṇyaṃ śaraṇaṃ yātā rāmaṃ daśarathātmajam ॥6-94-17॥
Translation
Being attacked by the Rakshasas, that great army of Vanaras sought refuge in Shri Rama, the son of Dasharatha, who is the protector of those who seek shelter.

राक्षसों द्वारा पीड़ित की जाती हुई वानरों की वह विशाल सेना, शरण देने योग्य दशरथनंदन श्री राम की शरण में गई।
English Commentary
A pivotal moment where the limits of the Vanara army are reached. Despite their bravery, they are outmatched by the heavy weaponry of the Rakshasas. Turning to Shri Rama highlights his role not just as a king but as the ultimate sanctuary ('Sharanya'). It symbolizes the soul turning to the Divine when worldly struggles become overwhelming.

जब वानर सेना राक्षसों के भयानक प्रहारों को सहन न कर सकी, तो वे अपने स्वामी की ओर दौड़े। श्री राम को 'शरण्य' (शरण देने में समर्थ) कहा गया है। यह भक्ति का स्वरूप है—जब संकट आता है, तो भक्त भगवान की ही पुकार करता है। सेना को विश्वास था कि केवल श्री राम ही इस विनाश से उनकी रक्षा कर सकते हैं।
