छिन्नं भिन्नं शरैर्दग्धं प्रभग्नं शस्त्रपीडितम् ।
बलं रामेण ददृशुर्न रामं शीघ्रकारिणम् ॥६-९४-२२॥
chinnaṃ bhinnaṃ śarairdagdhaṃ prabhagnaṃ śastrapīḍitam |
balaṃ rāmeṇa dadṛśurna rāmaṃ śīghrakāriṇam ॥6-94-22॥
Translation
They saw the army cut into pieces, pierced, scorched by arrows, shattered, and tormented by weapons by Shri Rama, but they did not see the swift-acting Shri Rama himself.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन्होंने श्री राम के द्वारा सेना को छिन्न-भिन्न, बाणों से दग्ध, टूटा हुआ और शस्त्रों से पीड़ित तो देखा, किंतु शीघ्रता से कार्य करने वाले श्री राम को नहीं देखा।
English Commentary
The focus remains on the visible destruction versus the invisible destroyer. The outcome is chaotic—an army decimated ('chinnam bhinnam')—but the agent is elusive due to his speed ('shighrakarinam'). This creates a psychological terror among the Rakshasas, who are fighting a force they cannot target.

पुनः श्री राम की 'शीघ्रकारिता' (तेजी) पर बल दिया गया है। विनाश सर्वत्र था—कटे हुए अंग, जलते हुए शरीर—किंतु विनाशक अदृश्य था। यह शत्रुओं के मन में भय उत्पन्न करने वाला दृश्य था, क्योंकि जिसे देखा न जा सके, उससे लड़ा कैसे जाए? यह भगवान के कोप का अदृश्य स्वरूप है।
