अनीकं दशसाहस्रं रथानां वातरंहसाम् ।

English Commentary
The text begins to quantify the losses to emphasize the scale of Shri Rama's victory. Ten thousand chariots and eighteen thousand elephants represent a massive military force, comparable to modern tank and heavy artillery divisions, all neutralized by a single archer.

यहाँ से श्री राम द्वारा किए गए विनाश की गणना (body count) आरंभ होती है। 10,000 रथ और 18,000 हाथी—यह संख्या श्री राम के पराक्रम की विशालता को दर्शाती है। यह कोई छोटी झड़प नहीं थी, बल्कि एक विशाल सेना का विध्वंस था।
