दिवसस्याष्टमे भागे शरैरग्निशिखोपमैः ।
हतान्येकेन रामेण रक्षसां कामरूपिणाम् ॥६-९४-३३॥
divasasyāṣṭame bhāge śarairagniśikhopamaiḥ |
hatānyekena rāmeṇa rakṣasāṃ kāmarūpiṇām ॥6-94-33॥
Translation
...were killed by the solitary Shri Rama within an eighth part of the day using arrows resembling tongues of fire, destroying those shape-shifting Rakshasas.

...दिन के आठवें भाग में अग्नि की शिखा के समान बाणों से अकेले श्री राम ने उन कामरूपी (इच्छानुसार रूप बदलने वाले) राक्षसों को मार डाला।
English Commentary
The timeframe makes the feat even more staggering. 'One-eighth of a day' implies a very short duration (likely just over an hour or a specific morning period) for such mass destruction. It highlights efficiency and potency. Neither numbers nor the shape-shifting magic ('kamarupinam') of the demons could save them from Shri Rama's fire-like arrows.

सबसे आश्चर्यजनक तथ्य यहाँ 'समय' है। 'दिवस के आठवें भाग' (लगभग डेढ़ प्रहर या कुछ घंटे) में यह महाविनाश संपन्न हुआ। 'एकेन' (अकेले) शब्द श्री राम की अद्वितीयता को पुनः रेखांकित करता है। मायावी राक्षसों की कोई भी माया श्री राम की 'अग्निशिखा' समान बाणों के सामने नहीं टिक सकी।
