चतुर्दश सहस्राणि रक्षसां भीमकर्मणाम् ।
निहतानि जनस्थाने शरैरग्निशिखोपमैः ॥६-९५-१४॥
caturdaśa sahasrāṇi rakṣasāṃ bhīmakarmāṇām |
nihatāni janasthāne śaraīrāgniśikhopamaīḥ ॥6-95-14॥
Translation
Fourteen thousand Rakshasas of terrible deeds were slain in Janasthana by Shri Rama using arrows that were like flames of fire.

जनस्थान में भयंकर कर्म करने वाले चौदह हजार राक्षसों का संहार श्री राम ने अग्नि की ज्वाला के समान बाणों से कर दिया था।
English Commentary
The battle of Janasthana was a critical strategic turning point in the Ramayana. Shri Rama single-handedly slaying fourteen thousand Rakshasas was no ordinary human feat. Describing His arrows as 'flames of fire' highlights both His destructive power and His purity. The Rakshasa women tremble recalling this carnage, knowing the same power is now at Lanka's gates.

जनस्थान का युद्ध श्री रामायण का एक अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण सामरिक मोड़ था। श्री राम का अकेले चौदह हजार राक्षसों को मारना कोई साधारण मानवीय कृत्य नहीं था। उनके बाणों को 'अग्नि-शिखा' के समान बताना उनकी संहारक शक्ति और पवित्रता को दर्शाता है। राक्षसियाँ इस महान संहार को याद करके कांप रही हैं, क्योंकि वे जानती हैं कि वही शक्ति अब लंका के द्वारों पर खड़ी है।
