धर्मार्थसहितं वाक्यं सर्वेषां रक्षसां हितम् ।
युक्तं विभीषणेनोक्तं मोहात्तस्य न रोचते ॥६-९५-२१॥
dharmārthasahitaṃ vākyaṃ sarveṣāṃ rakṣasāṃ hitam |
yuktaṃ vibhīṣaṇenoktaṃ mohāttasya na rocate ॥6-95-21॥
Translation
The appropriate words spoken by Vibhishana, which were endowed with Dharma and logic and beneficial for all Rakshasas, did not please Ravana due to his delusion.

विभीषण ने धर्म और अर्थ से युक्त तथा सभी राक्षसों के हित की जो उचित बात कही थी, वह रावण को अपने मोह के कारण अच्छी नहीं लगी।
English Commentary
Vibhishana's policy is honored here. The term 'Dharmarthasahitam' proves that his advice was not only moral but also strategically sound. Ravana's 'Moha' (delusion and ego) was the primary driver of Lanka's ruin. The Rakshasa women now admit that Vibhishana was the only true well-wisher of their race, whom Ravana had insulted and exiled.

विभीषण जी की नीति का यहाँ सम्मान किया गया है। 'धर्मार्थसहितम्' शब्द यह सिद्ध करता है कि उनकी सलाह न केवल नैतिक थी बल्कि सामरिक दृष्टि से भी सही थी। रावण का 'मोह' (अहंकार और अज्ञान) ही लंका के विनाश का मुख्य कारण बना। राक्षसियाँ अब स्वीकार कर रही हैं कि विभीषण जी ही कुल के वास्तविक शुभचिन्तक थे, जिन्हें रावण ने अपमानित कर निकाल दिया था।
