इत्येवं श्रूयते शब्दो राक्षसानां कुले कुले ।
रथाश्चाश्वाश्च नागाश्च हताः शतसहस्रशः ॥६-९५-२५॥
ityevaṃ śrūyate śabdo rākṣasānāṃ kule kule |
rathāścāśvāśca nāgāśca hatāḥ śatasahasraśaḥ ॥6-95-25॥
Translation
Such was the cry heard in every household of the Rakshasas. Chariots, horses, and elephants have been destroyed by the hundreds of thousands.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षसों के प्रत्येक परिवार में यही स्वर सुनाई दे रहा था। लाखों की संख्या में रथ, घोड़े और हाथी नष्ट हो चुके हैं।
English Commentary
The vastness of the carnage is described here. The phrase 'in every household' indicates that no home in Lanka remained untouched by grief. The destruction of physical assets (chariots, horses, elephants) and human life marked the end of Lanka's golden age. It is a portrayal of the total collapse of an empire built on unrighteousness.

संहार की व्यापकता का यहाँ वर्णन है। 'कुले कुले' (हर परिवार में) शब्द यह सूचित करता है कि लंका का कोई भी घर इस दुःख से अछूता नहीं था। भौतिक क्षति (रथ, अश्व, नाग) और मानवीय क्षति (योद्धाओं का वध) ने लंका के स्वर्ण युग का अंत कर दिया था। यह दृश्य अधर्म के साम्राज्य के पूर्ण ध्वंस का चित्रण है।
