अपश्यन्तो भयस्यान्तमनाथा विलपामहे ।
रामहस्ताद्दशग्रीवः शूरो दत्तमहावरः ॥६-९५-२८॥
apaśyanto bhayasyāntamanāthā vilapāmahe |
rāmahastā ddaśagrīvaḥ śūro dattamahāvaraḥ ॥6-95-28॥
Translation
Seeing no end to this terror, we are lamenting like orphans. The heroic ten-headed Ravana, who received great boons, (is facing his end) at the hands of Shri Rama.

इस भय का कोई अंत न देखकर हम अनाथों की भाँति विलाप कर रही हैं। महान वरदान प्राप्त करने वाले शूरवीर रावण को श्री राम के हाथों—
English Commentary
The word 'Anathah' (orphans/helpless) describes the state of the women whose protectors are gone. Even Ravana's boons could no longer safeguard him. They realize that the king they relied on for security is now himself vulnerable. This depicts the endless fear of unrighteousness that completely shatters a person's spirit.

यहाँ 'अनाथाः' शब्द लंका की उन स्त्रियों की स्थिति को बताता है जिनका कोई रक्षक नहीं बचा। रावण के वरदान भी अब उसे नहीं बचा पा रहे थे। वे देख रही हैं कि जिस राजा के बल पर वे सुरक्षित थीं, वही अब असुरक्षित है। यह अधर्म के उस अंतहीन भय का चित्रण है जो मनुष्य को पूरी तरह तोड़ देता है।
