दृष्ट्वा श्रुत्वा च सम्भ्रान्ता हतशेषा निशाचराः ।
राक्षसीश्च समागम्य दीनाश्चिन्तापरिप्लुताः ॥६-९५-४॥
dṛṣṭvā śrutvā ca sambhrāntā hataśeṣā niśācarāḥ |
rākṣasīśca samāgamya dīnāścintāpariplutāḥ ॥6-95-4॥
Translation
Having seen the destruction and heard the news, the surviving night-stalkers were bewildered. Those wretched Rakshasas, overwhelmed with anxiety, gathered together with their women.
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्ध के समाचार सुनकर और विनाश को देखकर बचे हुए राक्षस घबरा गए। वे दीन और चिन्ता में डूबे हुए राक्षस अपनी स्त्रियों के पास जाकर एकत्रित हुए।
English Commentary
In Lanka, arrogance has been replaced by bewilderment and anxiety. The illusion of being invincible has shattered. The Rakshasas gathering with their women to share their grief marks a collective admission of defeat. The word 'Dina' (wretched/pitiable) reflects their broken morale and helpless state. From here, the psychological atmosphere within the city of Lanka shifts towards total despair.

लंका में अब उत्साह का स्थान 'सम्भ्रम' (घबराहट) और चिन्ता ने ले लिया है। अजेय होने का भ्रम टूट चुका है। राक्षस अपनी स्त्रियों के पास सुरक्षा या शोक साझा करने के लिए जा रहे हैं, जो उनके सामूहिक पराजय की स्वीकारोक्ति है। 'द़ीन' शब्द उनके गिरते हुए मनोबल और असहाय अवस्था को दर्शाता है। यहाँ से लंका के भीतर का मनोवैज्ञानिक वातावरण पूरी तरह बदल जाता है।
