अद्य वानरमुख्यानां तानि यूथानि भागशः ।
धनुषा शरजालेन विधमिष्यामि पत्रिणा ॥६-९६-१३॥
adya vānaramukhyānāṃ tāni yūthāni bhāgaśaḥ |
dhanuṣā śarajālena vidhamiṣyāmi patriṇā ॥6-96-13॥
Translation
Today, with the network of arrows from my bow, I shall scatter and destroy the various divisions of the monkey leaders.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आज मैं अपने धनुष और बाणों के जाल से वानर सेना के उन मुख्य समूहों को एक-एक करके छिन्न-भिन्न (विध्वंस) कर दूँगा।
English Commentary
Ravana targets the commanders of the Vanara host. He plans a systematic slaughter using a 'network of arrows.' The word 'Vidhamishyami' (I shall blow away/destroy) reveals his fierce intent to annihilate the monkey army at its foundation. This reflects his tactical approach of targeting the leadership to cause a total collapse of the enemy's formation.

रावण का लक्ष्य अब वानर सेना के यूथपति हैं। वह 'शरजालेन' (बाणों के जाल) के माध्यम से एक सुनियोजित संहार की योजना बना रहा है। 'विधमिष्यामि' शब्द उसके उस उग्र स्वभाव को प्रकट करता है जहाँ वह वानर सेना को जड़ से मिटा देना चाहता है। यह उसकी रणनीतिक तैयारी का परिचायक है कि वह पहले सेना के आधार को नष्ट करना चाहता है।
