ततो मुहूर्तान्निष्पेतू राक्षसा भीमदर्शनाः ।
नर्दन्तो भीमवदना नानाप्रहरणैर्भुजैः ॥६-९६-२४॥
tato muhūrtānniṣpetū rākṣasā bhīmadarśanāḥ |
nardanto bhīmavadanā nānāpraharaṇairbhujaiḥ ॥6-96-24॥
Translation
Thereafter, within a moment, those terrifying Rakshasas, with fearsome faces and roaring, emerged with various weapons in their arms.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तत्पश्चात एक ही मुहूर्त में भयंकर दिखने वाले वे राक्षस, भयंकर मुखों के साथ गर्जना करते हुए और भुजाओं में अनेक प्रकार के शस्त्र लिए हुए बाहर निकल आए।
English Commentary
The Rakshasas emerging 'within a moment' reflects their inherent readiness for violence. Despite their fear, their destructive instincts remained strong. The term 'Bhimavadanah' (terrifying-faced) confirms their fierce forms which grew even more ghastly in the face of death. This was the departure of Lanka's last and most violent military contingent.

राक्षसों का 'मुहूर्तात्' (एक मुहूर्त में) निकलना उनकी युद्ध के प्रति जन्मजात तत्परता को दर्शाता है। वे डरे हुए थे, फिर भी उनकी संहारक वृत्ति प्रबल थी। 'भीमवदनाः' शब्द उनके उस रौद्र रूप को पुष्ट करते हैं जो मृत्यु के सम्मुख और भी भयावह हो गया था। यह लंका की अंतिम और सबसे उग्र सैन्य टुकड़ी का प्रस्थान था।
