Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
बलाध्यक्षास्तु संस्थाप्य राज्ञः सेनां पुरःस्थिताः ।
एतस्मिन्नन्तरे सूतः स्थापयामास तं रथम् ॥६-९६-२९॥
balādhyakṣāstu saṃsthāpya rājñaḥ senāṃ puraḥsthitāḥ |
etasminnantare sūtaḥ sthāpayāmāsa taṃ ratham ॥6-96-29॥
Translation
The army chiefs positioned the king's army in order and stood in front. Meanwhile, the charioteer brought and stationed that (Ravana's) chariot.
हिंदी अनुवाद
सेनापतियों ने राजा की सेना को व्यवस्थित करके आगे खड़ा कर दिया। इसी बीच सारथी ने वह (रावण का) रथ लाकर खड़ा किया।
English Commentary
The stage is now set for the entry of the primary antagonist. Organizing the army signifies the formation of battle arrays. The arrival of the chariot signals the final departure. This moment leads toward the greatest and concluding duel of the epic, showcasing peak discipline and order, albeit on the side of unrighteousness.

अब मुख्य नायक के प्रवेश की भूमिका तैयार है। सेना का 'संस्थाप्य' (व्यवस्थित करना) व्यूह रचना का संकेत है। सारथी द्वारा रथ लाना अंतिम प्रस्थान की सूचना है। यह क्षण युद्ध के सबसे बड़े और अंतिम द्वंद्व की ओर ले जाने वाला है। यहाँ अनुशासन और व्यवस्था का चरम बिंदु दिखाई देता है, भले ही वह अधर्म के पक्ष में हो।
