मुष्टिप्रहाराभिहतो विरूपाक्षो निशाचरः ।
तेन खड्गेन सङ्क्रुद्धः सुग्रीवस्य चमूमुखे ॥६-९७-२६॥
muṣṭiprahārābhihato virūpākṣo niśācaraḥ |
tena khaḍgena saṅkruddhaḥ sugrīvasya camūmukhe ॥6-97-26॥

English Commentary
The exchange continues. Virupaksha absorbs the punch but reacts with heightened rage. Still armed with his sword, he retaliates. The setting remains the 'camūmukhe' (battlefront), highlighting that this duel is happening in full view of the armies.

मुक्के की चोट खाकर राक्षस और अधिक 'संक्रुद्ध' (गुस्सा) हो गया। उसने हार नहीं मानी। यह श्लोक अपूर्ण है और अगले श्लोक के साथ जुड़ता है। विरूपाक्ष ने अपनी तलवार का प्रयोग पुनः किया। दोनों ओर से भीषण प्रहार हो रहे हैं।
