तथा तु तौ संयति सम्प्रयुक्तौ तरस्विनौ वानरराक्षसानाम् ।
बलार्णवौ सस्वनतुः सुभीमं महार्णवौ द्वाविव भिन्नवेलौ ॥६-९७-३५॥
tathā tu tau saṃyati samprayuktau tarasvinau vānararākṣasānām |
balārṇavau sasvanatuḥ subhīmaṃ mahārṇavau dvāviva bhinnavelau ॥6-97-35॥
Translation
Those two powerful armies of monkeys and Rakshasas, engaged in battle, roared terribly like two mighty oceans that had burst their banks.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानर और राक्षसों की वे दोनों वेगशाली सेनाएं (बल रूपी सागर), युद्ध में भिड़कर वैसे ही भीषण गर्जना करने लगीं, जैसे तटों को तोड़कर दो महासागर टकरा रहे हों।
English Commentary
The duel ends, and the focus zooms out to the general melee. The armies are compared to oceans ('arṇavau'). Their collision creates a 'subhīmaṃ' (very terrible) sound. The metaphor of oceans bursting their shores ('bhinnavelau') suggests chaotic, uncontrolled violence following the death of the commander.

सेनापति के वध के बाद युद्ध रुका नहीं, बल्कि और उग्र हो गया। दोनों सेनाओं की तुलना 'बलार्णवौ' (सेना रूपी सागर) से की गई है। उनका टकराना प्रलयकालीन समुद्रों के टकराने जैसा है। 'भिन्नवेलौ' (तट तोड़े हुए) शब्द अनुशासन और सीमाओं के टूटने का संकेत है।
