तामापतन्तीं सहसा शिलां दृष्ट्वा महोदरः ।
असम्भ्रान्तस्ततो बाणैर्निर्बिभेद दुरासदाम् ॥६-९८-१३॥
tāmāpatantīṃ sahasā śilāṃ dṛṣṭvā mahodaraḥ |
asambhrāntastato bāṇairnirbibheda durāsadām ॥6-98-13॥
Translation
Seeing that dangerous rock hurtling suddenly towards him, Mahodara, unperturbed, shattered it with his arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस भयानक शिला को सहसा अपनी ओर आते देख, महोदर ने घबराए बिना (असम्भ्रांत होकर) बाणों से उसके टुकड़े कर दिए।
English Commentary
Mahodara's heroism is encapsulated in the word 'asambhranta' (unperturbed). Not flinching at the sight of a massive rock hurtling towards him and destroying it in mid-air with precision proves him to be a warrior of a high caliber.
हिंदी टीका
महोदर की वीरता 'असम्भ्रांत' (बिना घबराहट के) शब्द में निहित है। एक विशाल शिला को अपनी ओर आते देख विचलित न होना और सटीक निशाना लगाकर उसे हवा में ही नष्ट कर देना, उसके उच्च कोटि के योद्धा होने का प्रमाण है।
