Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स तमुद्यम्य चिक्षेप सोऽप्यन्यां व्याक्षिपद्गदाम् ।
भिन्नावन्योन्यमासाद्य पेततुर्धरणीतले ॥६-९८-२४॥
sa tamudyamya cikṣepa so'pyanyāṃ vyākṣipadgadām |
bhinnāvanyonyamāsādya petaturdharaṇītale ॥6-98-24॥
Translation
He (Sugriva) raised and hurled it, and he (Mahodara) also hurled another mace. Colliding with each other, both weapons broke and fell to the ground.
हिंदी अनुवाद
सुग्रीव ने उसे उठाकर फेंका और उस (महोदर) ने भी दूसरी गदा चलाई। वे दोनों (हथियार) एक-दूसरे से टकराकर टूट गए और पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़े।
English Commentary
This is the peak of the conflict's intensity. The strikes of both warriors were so powerful that even metal weapons could not withstand the impact. The repeated breaking of weapons indicates that the physical strength of the warriors exceeded the durability of their arms.
हिंदी टीका
यह संघर्ष की तीव्रता का चरम है। दोनों योद्धाओं के प्रहार इतने शक्तिशाली थे कि धातु के हथियार भी उनका वेग नहीं सह पा रहे थे। हथियारों का बार-बार टूटना यह दर्शाता है कि योद्धाओं का शारीरिक बल उनके हथियारों की क्षमता से अधिक था।
