जघ्नतुस्तौ तदा ऽन्योन्यं नेदतुश्च पुनःपुनः ।
तलैश्चान्योन्यमाहत्य पेततुर्धरणीतले ॥६-९८-२६॥
jaghnatustau tadā 'nyonyaṃ nedatuśca punaḥpunaḥ |
talaiścānyonyamāhatya petaturdharaṇītale ॥6-98-26॥
Translation
They struck each other and roared repeatedly. Striking each other with palms (slaps), they both fell to the ground.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे एक-दूसरे को मारने लगे और बार-बार गर्जना करने लगे। एक-दूसरे को थप्पड़ों (तल प्रहार) से मारकर वे दोनों पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़े।
English Commentary
A vivid depiction of wrestling. Raining slaps and punches, they either got exhausted or lost balance and fell. 'Nedatuh' (roaring) indicates that despite pain or fatigue, they maintained their aggressive stance.

मल्लयुद्ध का सजीव चित्रण। थप्पड़ और मुक्के बरसाते हुए वे इतने थक गए या संतुलन खो बैठे कि दोनों गिर पड़े। 'नेदतुः' (गर्जना करना) यह बताता है कि वे दर्द या थकान के बावजूद अपना आक्रामक रुख बनाए हुए थे।
