अङ्गदं बहुभिर्बाणैर्भूयस्तं प्रत्यविध्यत ।
जाम्बवन्तं त्रिभिर्बाणैराजघान स्तनान्तरे ॥६-९९-११॥
aṅgadaṃ bahubhirbāṇairbhūyastaṃ pratyavidhyata |
jāmbavantaṃ tribhirbāṇairājaghāna stanāntare ॥6-99-11॥
Translation
He again pierced Angada with many arrows and struck Jambavan with three arrows in the center of his chest.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उसने अंगद को बहुत से बाणों से फिर से घायल किया और जाम्बवान की छाती (स्तनों के बीच) में तीन बाण मारे।
English Commentary
Upon regaining consciousness, Mahaparshva counterattacked immediately. He targeted both Angada and Jambavan. Striking Jambavan with three arrows directly in the chest shows his precision. It signifies that the Rakshasas were not ones to give up and fought until their last breath.
हिंदी टीका
होश में आते ही महापार्श्व ने प्रत्याक्रमण किया। उसने अंगद और जाम्बवान दोनों को निशाना बनाया। जाम्बवान के मर्म स्थल (छाती) पर तीन बाण मारना उसकी सटीकता को दिखाता है। यह दर्शाता है कि राक्षस हार मानने वालों में से नहीं थे और अंतिम सांस तक लड़ते थे।
