English Commentary
Angada did not use a weapon on an unarmed foe, but struck with 'talena' (palm/slap). This is the natural fighting skill of monkeys. A blow to the temple (root of the ear) can be lethal. Mahaparshva, though injured, was still 'mahadyuti' (radiant) and swift, indicating his demonic vitality.

अंगद ने शस्त्रहीन शत्रु पर शस्त्र नहीं उठाया, बल्कि 'तलेन' (हथेली/थप्पड़) से प्रहार किया। यह वानरों का स्वाभाविक युद्ध कौशल है। कनपटी (कान के मूल) पर प्रहार अत्यंत घातक हो सकता है। महापार्श्व, यद्यपि चोटिल था, अभी भी 'महाद्युति' (कांतिमान) और वेगवान था, जो उसकी राक्षसी शक्ति को दर्शाता है।
