स्फोटयन्निव शब्देन लङ्कां साट्टालगोपुराम् ।
महेन्द्रेणेव देवानां नादः समभवन्महान् ॥६-९९-२५॥
sphoṭayanniva śabdena laṅkāṃ sāṭṭālagopurām |
mahendreṇeva devānāṃ nādaḥ samabhavanmahān ॥6-99-25॥
Translation
Seeming to shatter Lanka along with its towers and gateways with the sound, that great roar arose just like the roar of Devas along with Mahendra (Indra).
हिंदी अनुवाद
अट्टालिकाओं और गोपुरों (द्वारों) सहित लंका को शब्द से फोड़ते हुए (विदीर्ण करते हुए) जैसा, वह महान नाद वैसा ही हुआ जैसे (असुर वध पर) इंद्र के साथ देवताओं का नाद होता है।
English Commentary
The monkeys' roar was so intense it felt as if Lanka's buildings would crumble. This was not noise pollution but a 'sonic impact'. It is compared to the victory shout of the Devas, symbolizing the triumph of Dharma over Adharma.

वानरों की गर्जना इतनी तीव्र थी कि लगा लंका की इमारतें गिर जाएंगी। यह ध्वनि प्रदूषण नहीं, बल्कि 'ध्वनि प्रहार' (sonic impact) था। इसकी तुलना देवताओं के विजय घोष से की गई है, जो धर्म की अधर्म पर जीत का सूचक है।
